So I was recently on a service call in the Englewood Venice area, when I got a call from a new customer on South Tamiami Trail. The person has been a pool contractor in Sarasota County for quite a few years.

First of all please show me the emails from the web designer promised you reviews and followers which will boost your website. Guess how many Venice web design agencies there are? A bunch, so I didn’t want to speculate who it was, so I got him to give me the website design agency emails..and I called him a design agency only because it says he is. I will not disclose any personal info(may not be a person anyway…).

At first glance this looks like an awesome way to boost your website and social media traffic. I have had customers fall for this. Please, stay away from these at all costs. These web design companies will get you a ton of facebook fans and Youtube subscribers…They will also give your website something else…A PENALTY! I will go into more detail about this website design penalty in another post, but if you want to pay us even more money, feel free to pay these spammers some cash. Why? Once Google or bing see these spam fans/likes/subscribers etc., your website ranking will plummet. If you are number 3 for a keyword now, you will be number 30 or 300 soon enough. Even worse, once you are penalized by a search engine, you will have to pay so much money, lost time, and lost sales..you might as well start over and build a new site with a new homepage name. So if you had that wonderful website name, you now have to get a new one, and good ones are usually not available.
